How to stretch our Pennies
July 16, 2008 by auntiesthisnthatIn this crazy economy we all need some help stretching our paycheck’s. What do you do to save money and still have fun? I have started using coupons and in no time have a 5 inch binder of coupons! I now only buy on sale with a coupon. I have a huge stockpile of health & beauty , home cleaning products, cereal, drinks, pasta, rice and so much more.
At first I did not think coupons could save me much money, but after a few weeks cutting, organizing and checking the sales fliers I have become a beleiver.
The hardest part for me was the though of buying something I did not need or use. But these things become gifts or are donated.
I have received so many free items from Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, Walgreens and my local markets. You can too!
First you need to collect coupons, you can find them in the sunday newspapers, magazines, on-line, almost every product site has a coupon you an print out. I love coupons that are for 1.00 off any certain product, I go to the store and look for clearance items and than head to the travel aisles. There are many items that are .99 each so they become free with my coupons!!!!!! Yes they are small but they are also free so it is well worth it. A free trail size of deodorant last at least 2 weeks.
Some markets will double the value of a coupon that is under 1.00. When you have a coupon for .50 off a certain product and your local market has it on sale 10/10 and they double coupons again Free !!!
CVS is a great place to get free items with your extra care card, coupons, sales and the extra bucks you earn. Walgreens and Rite-aid have rebate programs that can save you a lot of money and get you free stuff also.
I save at least 150.00 dollars a week with my coupons.
